AXCBT Dance Intensive

Designed for art-minded, pre-professional dance students, working at an intermediate to advanced level, who want to challenge themselves technically and grow as artists. Students will work with and be mentored by our AXCBT professional dancers as well as international guest artists.  Daily classes in ballet, pointe, contemporary, strengthening, and variations as well as men's classes.  Weekly workshops in classical Indian dance, Afro-Cuban dance, Latin dance, Flamenco, and more.

Past faculty includes Michael Trusnovec (Paul Taylor), Michelle Fleet (Paul Taylor), Gilbert Bolden (NYCB), Blakeley White-McGuire (Graham),  Samuel Lee Roberts (Alvin Ailey), and Nicolas de La Vega (Radio City).

Theater Experience

For millennia, cultures have turned to art as a way of expressing, questioning, and wrestling with the human condition. This summer, our Theater classes will focus on learning how other cultures approach theatre, music, and dance. Whether we focus on the music of Canada's Come From Away or on Italy's commedia dell'arte, we will soon see that it's the human condition that unites us all.  Classes will include scene study from musicals set around the globe, character development, dance from around the world, physical theater, vocal work, sight singing, and score reading.

Past faculty includes Broadway veterans and Tony Award winners like Brian O'Brien (Chicago), Ross Lekites (Frozen), Gary Cooper (Aladdin),  Susan Egan (Beauty and the Beast), Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman's Guide), and Joanna Gleason (Into the Woods).
